Arabic-language action game حرب العصابات (“Guerilla”) took the top spot on this week’s list of emerging Facebook games, up by 40,000 monthly active users for a gain of 80 percent. Guerilla launched in March 2009 and peaked in November 2010 with 352,000 MAU, but the traffic declined afterwards. The game’s MAU numbers bottomed out with 60,000 MAU in October 2011 and then saw a small traffic surge between January and April. Now, it looks like the game is seeing another traffic spike thanks to being published by 6waves.
Being Human took the No. 2 spot, up by 30,000 MAU for a 300 percent increase. This is the first time Being Human saw a traffic gain since early March. The traffic increase is unexpected, since Syfy hasn’t revealed any details about the premiere of the show’s third season after it was announced in February.
At No. 7 we find another older game looks like it’s benefitting from being published by 6waves — Liquid Entertainment’s D&D: Heroes of Neverwinter snagged 20,000 MAU for a 33 percent gain.
Six other games had gains of 100 percent or more this week. 6 waves’s Ravenshire Castle is starting to gain traction, up by 20,000 MAU for a 100 percent swell. Peak Games’s Turkish-language backgammon title Tavla Plus brought in 20,000 MAU for a 100 percent gain. Diviad GmbH’s Ghost Trappers was also up by 20,000 MAU for a 100 percent increase. Pow Games’s hidden object title Seaside Hideaway acquired 13,000 MAU for a 186 percent swell. IGG’s German-language version of Galaxy Online II warped in 10,000 MAU for a 100 percent gain. Finally, Loteria-Mexicana.com’s Loteria (a Mexican variant of Bingo) was also up by 10,000 MAU for a 100 percent increase.
